The Moon Rulz #1
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... 85 degrees and sweltering out. Youch. Guess it's time to give in and put in that Air Conditioner, eh??? So, I trust that most of you are enjoying these hot Suuuuuuumer Niiiiiiiiights as much as I am. And after a few weeks in the lands of Pennsyltucky and Virgin-ia, I have spent the last few weeks getting back to my daily grind of eating, sleeping, listening to music, going to the gym, and pretending I'm a Navy Seal online with 30,000 other nerds from North America. I suppose it is very similar to the way my friends the Mooninites explained on "Aqua Teen Hunger Force":
Inignot: On the moon, the weekend has advanced beyond your wildest dreams. Weekends now take up the entire week, and jobs have been phased out accordingly.
Err: We get checks from the government. And we use them to buy beer.
And that's pretty much been the state of things. During this time we have lost a few brave souls to the west coast. My fantasy baseball team has dropped to last/next-to last place. The Sox have dropped 6 back from the Yankees. Tough times, my friends, tough times.
But, now the days may be hot -- but they are also sunny -- thusly, baseball and soccer in the park. I dare say volleyball is on the way. The Beastie Boys have released a new album for the first time since our senior year of college. Deeb has landed in our fair city to replenish the ranks. We have a Ben Folds concert comin' to the city. Trot and Nomah are back. Lots of great movies comin' out. Things are lookin' up.
Oh, and I just got a job.
In the words of Meatwad (and our own little Diesel): "Where's my whiskey? I'm 'bout to get tore up."
