The New Bennifer

What a wonderful and wild weekend, says the man. After an action-packed week at work, it continued into the weekend, except that work was magically transformed into fun. Friday night was the very first IthacaMafia dinner night put together by the ever-persistent Bobo on the Board. We noshed at Amuse over on 18th, and it was de-freakin'-licious.

And of course, there was the matter of a pair of baseball games that were played this past weekend, pushing the awesomeness to an even higher level. Still two games to go, but damn, this team is something special, to be sure. In fact, the Sports Guy says exactly why. Something really magical to watch. Which, is also making some really spectacular things to wear...

Rumor has it there were some North American Twister Championships going on this past weekend. I can neither confirm nor deny these reports. (Team Texas is a bunch of Cheaters.) I can, however, inform the general public that Diesel does NOT know how to play Uno. And his beard makes him fiesty.

Also in great competition this weekend were myself and the smaller resident(s) of my apartment -- those damned mice. I know many of you heard of my battle against one earlier in the year -- where I caught the bugger in a shoebox and released him out into the lands of Astoria unharmed. But that was then. Now, it's personal. You see -- one of em' took a swipe at Steve. I can't have my roomate attacked in his own home. If I let that slide -- why, as Klove said on Saturday: "Well, next thing you know, you'll end up with Mountain Lions walking in, thinking they can do whatever they like."

And I can't have that. So, let's just say that glue traps were bought. They were set. And after the little bastard jumped out at Steve -- he was caught no 20 minutes later. Victory! ...Or was it? For last night -- his friend appeared in the hallway looking for revenge. He quickly hid from us, but we are a patient lot. We will wait. We will watch the traps. And he will be caught.

For like I said, it's personal.

That, and I will have all the time in the world because tonight -- that's right, this evening -- I'll be picking up my very own copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. And the world around me will begin to vanish as I delve into Rockstar's new world. (Except, of course, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (if neccessary) at 8:00pm EST to watch the team of Destiny Boston Red Sox finish their already-legendary season.

Who is my Papi, indeed. Sing it!

What You Say:

who's the new Bennifer?

Why Mr. Affleck and our one true love, Jennifer Garner.

Far an away, a superior Bennifer if I've ever heard of one...
