They're always tryin' to interferin' with you...

So, since we're on a roll with this whole "posting" thing, I thought it good to point out that in two weeks, we vote for a new president of the ol' USofA. And, since many of you are voting for the Senore de Massachusets -- and are located in the Empire State -- it's important for you to know that you don't just have to vote for him under the Democratic ticket. You can still vote for Kerry -- the vote counts the same -- but you can vote with a party that will really work to change things for your life (and the life of other middle and lower-income peoples in New York, i.e. -- us) for the better. The Working Families Party. They're all about making it bettah, and so I asked Punk Rock for a little insight, which she provided to the max:
"Yeah, people should vote the Working Families party line. Here's the list of candidates they're supporting who will keep your social security safe, raise your minimum wage to $7 an hour, and make sure your kids can go to safe and well-funded public schools: http://www.workingfamiliesparty.org/

People can also volunteer for America Coming Together (acthere.com) this weekend, or next weekend, or election day, to make phone calls or take a little trip down to Philly (or another swing state, if they're not NY based) and tell people to vote. If people's legs are broken and they don't want to canvas, they can do the easiest thing ever: write letters. You don't even have to write them, ACT gives you a template.

You just go here: http://actforvictory.org/act.php/acthere/letters/

Register for a volunteer account, and then they give you a bunch of swing state voters to write to. You can write one, or 100, or 1000, and then just click on the name when you've sent your letter. Easiest thing in the world to do if you've got some time at work or sitting around watching tv at home.

And if you haven't, you should head over to MoveOn.org and take a look at Errol Morris' amazing Republican "Switch" ads, based on his Apple ads, which are just incredible but infuriatingly not airing anywhere. He pitched them to the DNC but they were scared of them. "
