The Seuss,
the Seuss, the Seuss is on Fire. (by
GiMp, 7/26/02, 8:27pm)
Evenin'
gang!
'Tis
the Gimp - feeling the need to update the site again. Poop is in the
midst of madness with Mr. Ed. The season is off and running, so we are
never to see him again, with the exceptions of major holidays and next
June. But drop him a line and let him know how much you miss seeing
his beaming melon head. I think he would appreciate that
. He's
an absolute dream!
So,
let's see - what's the latest in a major chain of events? Well, for
those of you who missed the first one, we are fast approaching the second
coming of Red Menace! All the info is littered throughout this site,
so I'm not gonna bother repeating when all the details are listed below
and on the board. If you don't go this time
so help me I'm gonna
cram my fist in your stomach, just like Arnold. I am every other inch
a lady, ain't I?
Mothra
Stewart's Home Savvy" tip of the day:
Mothra says "Shaving cream gets the stains right out of your
carpet. It's a 'hood thing."
The
Wilson gathering was quite the success. Many long lost Ithacans showed
up to bid them Bon Voyage and Good Luck. Everyone from Fetterer to Jessie
Viola. Remember that sassy dame? They should be on their way to the
other coast tomorrie, so send them your good vibes. Cheers to the L'il
Rabbit!
Other
than that, the only thing I can remember was the group trip to Hurricane
Harbor. We showed that water park who's boss! If you haven't gone before,
we highly recommend it, particularly Discovery Bay. This ain't just
for kids. We spent about two hours spraying unsuspecting Jersey-ites
with Water guns that were roughly equivalent to uzis. This brought out
the the little Napoleon in all of us, especially DB who, like a true
conqueror, found power in the highest point of Discovery Bay. I felt
soooo bad for all the 12 year olds who tasted his wrath. (Among other
things... --Kluv)
So
that's all for now. But keep your eyes peeled in the next week or so
for a Bon Voyage Gimp gathering announcement. I just got a buzz from
the Seussical peeps and my first day has been pushed up. So I'll start
rehearsal on Aug. 13th. Only a couple more weeks! Eeek! So very excited.
Visit the message board and write me your own Seuss poem, if you feel
so inclined.

Greets
kids. Fresh on the heels of our 'Best Picture' win at the 48 hour film
festival, I bring you a joyous picture gallery featuring the band that
floored Williamsburg, Crooklyn a few weeks ago: RED MENACE. They opened
up a fundraiser for a local theatre group, and they indeed captivated
those in attendence. In fact, they put the bands that followed them
to shame by setting the bar too high for the others to reach. So it
goes when you are a wunder-band... Anyways, pop on over to the pics
and take a look. And to quote the guitarist Devin Sheasgreene (in his
British accent):
"To
experience the experience, go to Downtime on west 30th street on August
first. But I'm not gunna beg you. If you miss this one, you only have
youself to blame."

To
the rest of you, enjoy your 4th of Julz-eye, and be safe safe safe.
A big shout-out to our boy Bobo on the East Side of Jersey -- We hope
to get out to the new pad soon. (But Beer + Driving + Traffic + 4th
of July + NYCCrowds + Terrorism = Kevin drunk on his rooftop for the
day). Much love. I'll puke at your place in the coming weeks, Robobobo.
Also,
I'd just like to congratulate the players of the Boston Red Sox and
their SEVEN selections to the Major League All-Star game. Here's
a little wallpaper
for you sox celebrators to take a look at while the Bosox have a hearty
meal of the Bluejays, Tigers, and D-Rays.
Pace.
Happy 4th.

It's
Been A While. (by
Gimp, 6/27/02, 8:02pm)
Okay,
so I got sick of looking at the same damn update from over a month
ago having to do with Star Wars, blah blah blah. I figure if we get
frustrated over the 48 Hour Film Festival not moving their asses and
updating the NYC site, then we need to set an example
. Heyyyyyyy
maybe thats why they havent put up the judging yet
.
Theyre biding their time and waiting for the Mafia site to updated.
Clever girl
Damn non-violent resistance!!!
Anyhoo,
since Poop is back at work for Mr. Ed, I thought I should take matters
into my own hands and provide you good people with an update. I feel
like Mrs. Claus. Where to begin? Its been a month
Christ,
too much to cover so Ill just hit some key points
A.)
The mafia entered the 48 hour Film Festival (no doi) in which we had
48 hours to shoot and edit a movie using the film fest guidelines.
We still have yet to hear the results, but you can read about our
frustrations on the messageboard. Thats all I can say about
that topic without the vein in the middle of my forehead bulging,
so there.
B.)
Members of said Mafia took another group trip, this time to Beantown-
home of Irish and GiMp
a topic for which GiMp took much barbing
again, the vein in the middle of the forehead. Hopefully, Poop will
be able to put up the pics. If not now, then soon, my friends soon.
Entertaining pics include the gang moshpitting in the rental AstroVan
and wiffle ball antics. A good time was had by all, as we experienced
chowder splashing and being in bars next to Fenway during a Sox game.
C.)
The Mafia band, Red Menace, had its world premiere on June 21st
at Galapagos Arts Space in Brooklyn to rave reviews! It was a total
blast and a huge success. Thanks to all who came all the way
out to Brooklyn (said in whiny voice) to check us out. The crowd
was wild. To those of you who missed it, and you know who you are
jesus [look for a photo gallery soon --Kluv]
You have another chance to see the OG band before GiMp leaves town
with Seussical. On August 1st we will be at Downtime at 251 West
30th St. between 7th and 8th Aves. at 10 PM. No excuses this time
people- were in Manhattan. Now I finally know what its
like to be a rock star. Im off to get liquored up.
Well, those are the highlight for the past month. If Ive missed
anything, do forgive. As Staind once sang, Its been a while.
