The Gimp
is back, and the holidays are rushing upon us. Apologies that I haven't
gotten the picture gallery up I promised -- but we had a sudden influx
of traffic on the site, and I'm trying to see if I'm going to need
to shell out some more cash to keep the sucker running for now. But
don't worry, you'll get to see some fun drunken pictures soon...
Speaking
of fun and drunk, everyone's favorite black-eyed susan, Frants, is
moving. That's right, no more spanish harlem lofty-type pad for him
and Mamity and Mother Mayes...no no no...now it's a regular apartment
in spanish harlem overlooking the river in a spanking new building.
Sos, we're gonna help them mosey on over this weekend and get situated.
Had a good
time last weekend at the Nets games w/ China and some guys from work
-- the Mav's put the spank on "JASONKIDD!" (as the
goddamn Airlines Arena announcer kept calling him... It was like an
icepick stabbing in to my eardrum every time...). Also proceeded to
get mighty big blitzed later that evening and before I knew it....
it was five in the morning and I was John Stockton dishing out assists
left and right to Karl Malone (Dieselle), Hakeem (Diggles), and The
Human Highlight Reel: 'Nique (O'Nills). If anyone tells you that alcohol
impairs your ability to play NBA Live 2003, they're a liar. I'm living
proof. Player of the game, y'all.
There's
the new BMW Films up online, some are worth checking out at BMW
Films.com. Also, if you're interested in knowing what the hottest
growing competetive sport in the world is...go over to worldrps.
I personally enjoy playing North American style.
Anywho,
hope things are going well as the year winds down. Keep an eye on
the events, we got a Red Menace show coming up. And be sure to visit
the wonderful Jedirish-seester: Katie O'Neill's brand new spankin'
website! She's an O'Neill, she's talented, and her rendition of certain
19th century irish ballads will bring tears to your eyes and make
you long for the old country. Be sure to check out her new site at
www.KatieOne.com,
and let her know how much you like it. Tell her Kluv sent ya!
All right
kids, time to mosey back to work. Make it funky.
Slow
Diversssss (by Kluv, 11/13/02, 12:12pm)
Messageboard
has been slow for the last few days thanks to a downed drive, but
it seems to be running back up at full speed. And boy, just in time
-- Bobo has given us a review of the new Christina album! Stripped!
...seriously.
He not only reviewed it, that also means he bought it. So,
at least do him the courtesy of reading and mocking his review on
the board.
In other
big news, I've officially completed 50% of GTA:VC,
according to the stats page of the game. I've also killed over 1,500
people in the 32+ hours that my game has encapsulated so far, and
my least favorite gang is the Hatians. But hey, it's not easy being
a criminal kingpin in the mid-to-late 80's, trust me.
Lastly,
why don't you let Frantley know what you think of his new "hooligan"
look. We've got two pictures of this new look Frants, and we're
curious what you think of them. Why, you could even feel free to write
a short story on how he got to looking the way he does -- and just
post it for him over in his Fop section on the board. It would make
him feel better, I'm sure.
Keep checking
in, and I'll get the GiMp pictures up on the page by the end of the
week.
Sham on.
( 3:28pm:
added a new "Raging Frants" download to the wallpaper
section. Check it out. )
Cutting
Crew (by Kluv, 11/7/02, 5:45pm)
Why, what's
this? An update? Two days in a row? Shirley, you can't be serious!
Well, I am serious -- and here's your update. I've gotten a little
bit of feedback from the masses, and it seems the new look is a go-oer.
So, as I sit here munching on some thin mints, I think to myself...
Should I reward the folks out there with some more goodies?
The answer
is yes.
So, for
you who enjoy pictures (especially those of a frighteningly drunk
Frants), we've put up a new photo gallery. The
Film Fop's Birthday Blowout.Be sure to see Frants' downward
spiral yourself -- right up to the point when he punches his girlfriend
in the nose...by accident. It's a fantastic time, and I'm sure you'll
enjoy it as much as he did. And with a whole lot less vomiting, no
doubt.
Also, we
have a brand new mystery pic for you -- and it's one of our most scandalous
yet! We have a nice new wallpaper for you as well -- it's a desktop
version of the collage that I made for GiMp before she hit the road.
It proves once and for all that we are indeed the prettiest people
this side of the Mississip. Bahliedat.
So keep
checking up on us. We'll have another photo gallery and mayhaps some
more treats coming up real soon in the future. (And go buy the dvd
of our NYC 48
Hour Film Festival BEST PICTURE -- "Best Seller" --
on sale now!)
"Keeep
On Loving Youuuuuuu..." (by Kluv, 11/6/02, 10:37pm)
Well kids,
we're back, and looking better than ever with Version 3 of the site.
After months and months of neglect, we've decided to buy our poor
internet child some new clothes for the upcoming school year. We know
that we've been busy with work over the last few months, but that's
all going to change now -- really. I don't want the government to
come in and take my baby away. So I promise, this time it will be
different. I'm going to spend time with my kid. It's going to be all
better. I promise.
So... surprisingly,
there isn't a whole lot new in the world of the jedi over the last
few months. Along with the site touch up, the board has been given
a small makeover -- Bobo has a new section where folks can discuss
new CD's and music. The Fop Forum thrives. There's now a chat room
where registered users can commiserate and hang out (we've had a few
ragers with myself, Ben, Frants, Duck, Sperm, and China...). Everyone's
been working, moving, living, and drinking. We've gotten together
for a few parties here and there. (I'll try and get up a new photo
gallery in the next week or so of Frants' Birthday and Gimp's Break.)
Some good movies out there right now (go see 'Bowling
for Columbine'). Football is underway (real and fantasy), and
entertains many of us on Sundays. The Sopranos are back. The Simpsons
are back. Times are good.
But as
good as our times are, they don't even compare to the level of goodness
that Jedi No and Jedi Pols are enjoying. For there is a new Wee-lson.
The Wintertime
is upon us, and the world continues to move around. With the holidays
coming, not many events are rumbling out there, but keep your eyes peeled.
Last month we had a number of quick parties for Brants and Gimp and
both were debaucherous and highly enjoyable times.
So, keep
an eye on the Events
section. That's the way to keep your finger on the pulse of...stuff.
