Are you ready to rock??!. Hello there ladies and gentlement, hello, are you ready to rock? (by Kluv, 9/whatever/03, 1:09am)

Hi gang. Just got back from the ulimited sunshien tour w/ steve and kate, whre we saw some grat bands by the names of the detroit cobras, cheap trick and cake. GREAT TIME. I give the detroit cobras a double thums up because they not only rokked and new what the importance of opening rocking meant, but they also got the crowsd into it w/ the fluffer reference and the fact that they had a femaile lead singer.

then came CHEAP TRICK and they WER AWESOME. Seriously my expectations for the cheap trick experiment were low and lower, but they came on like gangbusters and professionals and i must say that they were awesome, and they had me from the begining when they did their opening from "hello there' and blew the doors off with the wcrowd saying/screaming "HELLO THERE LADIES ND GENTLEMEN HELLO THERE LADIES AND GENTLEMENT ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!??!? ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!?!?" They plaid a great set and were much better than I ever gould have hped for.

aand of course, after theym CAKE came on and they were fan-tabuloustical. they plaid all the songs you could hope for and then some inclucing kate's farvorite comfort eaclge and then steve was hapy wtiy them playing the finale of Jolene (a 10minute great version complete w/ autience participation), they were grat even if they didn't do an encore....

so, now it' s 1am and i've had too many drinks and i need to sleep and prepare fro victorieous Bills tomorrow w/ maerrry maguire\s and mars and matty (patsies going DOWN!), but i must say first that the redsox have made me belive, and made me love to watch them again aftertodays game and even if whatever happpens tomorrow, it was amazing to watch them for the last two days and see the joy of them playingtogethre and enjoying the game as it was ment to be. including all the laughter and such (i'm taking about petey laughing on the mound friday night see the NYtimes if you don't know what i'm talking about...).

PLUS i got my dtv dvr today after waiting for an hour and ahaldf @the timewarner place wehre all i had was somme little mermaid to entertainme, but it's worth it because now I can tape whatever it is I wnt to tape. God i love technology and the best city inthe world.

go listen to cheap trick and www.detroit-cobras.com they're gret.

HHELLO THERE LADIES AND GENTLEMNED!!!!!

We Don't Cause Trouble, We Don't Bother Nobody. (by Kluv, 8/31/03)

Ah the long weekend. Thanks to it's arrival, those of us who lack sleep get to catch up, those of us who sleep too much get to stay up all night, and those of us who who are aspiring filmmakers get to make movies. Ain't life grand? So yes, this weekend was Jedi Frants big weekend -- after months and months of preperation and fundraising and hard-ass work, his short film, "Lemonade" was shot. I got the chance to speak w/ 1st ADuck last night, and the Big Chubby Babywhatever Diesel, who both looked tired, torn, and sunkist -- but in a good way. As can be expected, the first two days were difficult, and like all projects, little goes as expected -- but I have the utmost faith that they'll get everything they need. Be sure to pop into the Film Fop Forum this week, where Frants keeps his continual updates on how the project is going...

Two weeks ago we were finally able to get together for some SuperspikeVolleyballing down in Crooklyn. Great to see Punk Rock and many other faces that we rarely get to spend time with (or rather, I rarely get to spend time with -- much less actually talk to, thanks to the Helljob). It was a pleasure to take that volleyball and spike it in their earnest faces... I KID! It was a fun-filled time, and it also enabled most of us to realize how old we actually are...

The Gimpers is off on the road again, this time for a multi-week stay in the Mile-High city. We're not sure how the GiMp will handle the thin air, but we've been told that she thoroughly likes the properties of the city that causes her to get schnockered on one glass of wine. Good times. That, and the fact that she's now a blonde, wearing open-toed shoes, and is pretending to be pregnant. Dont' ask.

As for myself, thanks to the long weekend I was actually able to sleep. Also, I had my very first massage yesterday, did a little shopping and picked up some lovely and very stimulating video games, and enriched myself culturally by watching the masterfully crafted Blade II. Other than those events, I was able to watch the Sox blow it yet again, fight with other dorks over cyberspace with virtual lightsabers, and make a serious hip-hop mix for my iPod.

Speaking of which, in the crafting of the 40-track hip-hop mix, I was reminded of a long-time theory of mine... It is my belief that no matter what song, or how poor/excellent it is, if you can get Nate Dogg to sing on your track -- it makes it anywhere from 15% - 25% better. EVERY TIME. From "Regulate" to "Lay Low" to "21 Questions", it doesn't make a difference. Have a crappy song? Put Nate Dogg in it. It'll make it pretty good. Have a good song? Put Nate Dogg in it. It'll make it great.

I can't say Nate can pull off a whole album of his own. It's too much of a good thing, I guess. For christ sakes, kids -- he's the only man alive that can make a song called "Deeez Nuuuts" sound like it's coming from a caramel-voiced angel. God bless you, Nate Dogg.

Hm. What else?

Uhhh....... football starts soon. We like football. It's fun. (and it brings about other enjoyable side-aspects of football like Madden and Fantasy Football.) Speaking of which, man oh man oh man. Every year you tell yourself that this will be the year that you don't get the new Madden game, but... inevitably you end up buying it anyways. And you know what? Why not. It's not like you have the time to go see tons of actual games during the NFL season, so you should at least be able to experience them...cyberly.

I think that's about all I have left in the tank for tonight. Have been playing around with getting t-shirts made for a few of us at work, which made me wonder if anyone would be interested in an e/c or ithacamafia t-shirt, baseball-t, classic g-string. If you are, drop me a line or post on the board. You can peep what the styles of shirts might look like over at cafepress.

Time for the beddy-bye. I'm tired, and there are wolves after me. (And the cat is crying for some TLC [Tables, Ladders, and Chairs..that is.].) I'm delirious.

"Just Give Me A Beat That's Bangin'...
And I'll Bust Till' I'm Deceased."
-- Nate Dogg.

Terribly terribly sorry, but have had little to no outside contact with the powers that be due to the whole Stuckeyville slave thing, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah... you know how the story goes.

Cliznik Here to pop over to the Good Times Events Section.
