The More You Know... (5/10/01)

"....Hello everybody!"
"HELLO DR. NICK!"

Did you know that Ithaca Alumn Mark Price just got the job as the full-time Riff-raff in Rocky Horror on B'way? Did you know that he beat out Flea for the job? It's true, Jedi Punk Rock told me.

Did you know that China is having a housewarming party this Saturday night? Did you see this FLYER he made as an invitation? It's true, you're invited (but Shipwreck won't be there...)

Did you know that Jedi Duck is going to Florida this coming week (first class) because he landed a bling bling Wendy's gig? It's true, Wendy told me.

Did you know that the trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is online? The websites have been flooded with traffic, but I saw it. It's ripe with quotes like:

"Would you like a chocolate covered pretzel?"
--Banky

...Well you can go to newsaskew.com or moviepoopshoot.com , and if you luck out--you'll hit it during an off-peak time and catch the trailer. It's true, Steve-Dave told me.

Did you know our ol' Ithaca friend Dave (Frants' roomate, aka Badger) is working with... (cue seizures and drooling) Industrial Light and Magic? He likes California. It's true, a wookie told me.

Did you know Haps is still alive? It's true, I talked to him last night, he was Drunk and Alive. If you haven't spoken with him lately, then you should, or you are a terrible friend--and will suffer in Quaker Hell for it.

Did you check the messageboard lately? You should. BA has posted an invite to the crew for some birthday/farewell funtimes.

Did you know Sperm finally has some time off from Ed? He's temporarily rejoined the land of the living. It's true, China told me.

And now I go finish screaming at the television because JASON VARITEK JUST GOT TOSSED OUT OF THE Sox GAME!?!?!? WHAT KIND OF HORSE SHIT IS THAT!?!?!?!?? $%*$&!>?*!#&!@*#!)!#$)(#@$&)!(@*~+@

Seething,
Kluv

The Events page hath been updated w/ some info on the upcoming Party/Fundraiser for the Pinapple Project which is a new production company created by a number of Ithaca Alumns. Super Time!

And, as I don't have anything more interesting for you, here is one of those lame lame internet jokes that's passed around thru email, TOP 25 COUNTRY SONGS:

Jedi Punk Rock, who happened to damage herself @ this weekend's Revlon Run Walk, sent me this link about one of our newest favorite peoples: Dave Eggars. So, now I leave. Be Good.

Sox in 01'. Still In First Place as of 8:56pm EST.

Dude, Where Is The Park? (5/6/01)

Greetings Carribean Tigers, I am fully recovered from the fabulous Cinco de Mayo festivities (as I trust all of you are, as well), and am here to provide some updateness for mass consumption. We had a most excellent time this weekend at the Revlon Run/Walk, and I have put together the photo gallery to go along with it. I can definitely say "Dude, Where Is The Park?" was by far, the most successful and entertaining team name.

Went out to dinner w/ mis parientes last night to Ruby Foo's, which was excellent (as per usual). Besides having my mother agree that their Dessert Sushi Bento Box is the Best....Dessert....Ever, I was also convinced to give some eel a try. While, I don't think I'll be sampling any more in the immediate future, it wasn't half bad--but the texture was of a certain 'slimy' persuasion. Yum.

Theck out the

GiMp went to ol' Beantown this weekend, to surprise her gal Stacey for a bridal shower--which went off with much success, I'm told. I want to wish Miss Stace a big congrats on her shower, and I look forward to partying @ the wedding. Play some Skynard! Woooo!!! ....I watched the Postman today on television...and it made me wonder why we so often get sucked into watching terrible movies (even 3 1/2 hour ones...), just because we need to see what HAPPENS. I don't really think it's going to get any better, but for some reason, I needed to watch the whole thing. So, if anyone feels a burning desire to watch the movie---Don't bother---I'll just tell you what happens. There's no sense in anyone else wasting precious time on it...

Duck has Triple Play 2001 on PS2. It's fun.

Some people don't believe that the picture that Mothra sent was a real cat. Well kiddos, belive it. And cry yourself to sleep.

Again, huge thanks to everyone who donated to the Run / Walk. You guys kick more ass than your average bear. It's true, it's true.

That's all for now, but later this week I'll have a new bio for everyone to enjoy: Jedi Bunk, the computer game guru and blues afficianado hath provided me w/ one!

Sox in 01'. Still.

Whiskey In The Jar (5/3/01)

Ring Dabadoo DabaDah. Figured I'd drop a quick ol' update on everyone before I make the all-important decision on what I will watch on the television tonight: 1.) Survivor Finale 2.) Smackdown 3.) Friends 4.) Nothing 5.) Nintendo Baseball 6.) Read The Angel of Darkness 7.) Listen to the newly delivered double-mixorific cd's made by Jedi Klove for our annual mixed-tape (now mixed-cd) exchange. --[REM did a cover of "Draggin' The Line"? Who knew, but tis' very good.]

Will it be #2? Perhaps both #5 AND #7....don't worry, we'll keep the scene monitored and continue to provide up-to-the-minute information as this situation develops, faithful readers. Cha-cha-cha-changes....

We have a little picture compliments of Jedi GiMp's parental unit: The Legendary Mothra, it's one of the more terrifying things I've ever seen. Beware, felinephobics.

Now, I know that almost every week, I say "Oh, West Wing and Ed were Soooooo Goooood this Week! MMmmmMMm *kiss* *kiss* MMmmmMMmMM!" But this week, I think Ed was one of my personal favorites to date (even though we didn't have an Ed Alert for it, Mr. Sperm...), with Warren being 100% kick-ass. West Wing? I just hope that I can handle the season finale. And I thought I would shit myself last season...

I'd like to give a big shout-out to our lovely paly-o Lindsay, who I haven't seen in a disgusting amount of time. (She drinks Black Forest at will in Moonshadows, for which, I am insane with jealousy.) And speaking of Ithaska (which I was, in case you were unawares), here are two pics that Diggity-Dawg took on his last trip up to the motherland. Take a Bite, Earl & The Man(?), The Myth, The Legend. Yeah--and don't forget to go catch Duck, Chris, BA, et. al. tomorrow night @ the neva. See Events.

I don't think Survivor is going to win out. Maybe I'll try and catch the end.

For now, I think I'll be content with a little Dropkick Murphys, some Iced Tea, and my Swiffer. There's nothing as sassifying as a good Swiffing of one's apartment, as I'm sure many of you (Punk Rock particularly) can attest to. I'm cleaning as my own Ma & Da will be coming up for this weekend's 5k Run/Walk. Speaking of which--I'd like to thank all of you who donated to our participation in the Revlon Run/Walk for Women's Cancers this Saturday -- It was very nice to see some of ya give us a couple of bucks, even though I know most of you aren't "rolling" in the dough.

It really meant a lot to me. And I won't forget it.
Thanks.

Kluv

ps--It's two hours later. I just caught the end of Survivor. Tina won.
