Numba 1
, g.
Don't really have much to say tonight, really just wanted to post that picture on there. Saw this walking down the street the other day, wished I had a camera, and then remembered I had a new camera phone. Those things are kinda handy.
Anyhow, that's all I got tonight at 2:46AM. But I'm working on some audio from the CBGB's gig for you Less Coasters who couldn't make the commute.
And the Nets suck schvantz.

Looking For The Perfect Beat

Afrika Bambaataa sang about The Perfect Beat. Some of us were lucky enough to be there recently, when Kid Kellum reached a milestone in his own quest for the Perfect Beat. We got to join other friends and family in (the aptly-named) Pleasantville, New York, for his Senior Recital. And while I think we all knew that The Kid had the goods, some of us (like, myself) didn't really get to see until that afternoon just how good the goods really were.

And so he sang, and it brought forth much whistles and laughter and tears and joy. And then we ate and drank. His fabulous parents provided plenty to partake of. We spoke and hugged and danced; He sang some more (we all sang a little). It was an undeniably special time, and I feel very lucky to have been included.

Finally Kid Kellum has made the front page -- it's been a long time coming. So, a huge thanks to himself, his family, and everyone else for including us. 'Twas a blast.
The Kid's found The Beat... and he can't keep from dancin'!

Back in the saddle again
Chiggity check it- Like Daniel Larusso, I couldn't leave well enough alone, could I, a little punk. Nahh, I had to push it. We'll now I'm gunna pay. And just before Johnny kicks my head back to the stone age, CBGB's jumps off the top of the fence, pushes me out of the way, and Johnny ends up kicking a harmless sign that says "Go See Duck Play." See below for proof that Myagi-do Karate is the only way.

Drunken Midday Post #14
Ah, hello my friends. I have returned from a fabulous day at the ballpark. And many of you are probably wondering, "why Kluv, how is it a wonderous day when your beloved Red Sox lose to the dreaded Yankees"?
Perspective, my friends, perspective.
You see, in years past, every game I've attended in the Boogie Down Bronx was met with anxiousness, and a desperation that no matter what the Sox had to win that game. No more panic, my friends. No more.
Now, don't get me wrong, of course I would have liked to see them take it. But it was a good game. And you see, now I can adopt the mantras I've heard in years past and make them my own. For as we were leaving the stadium, we had the Drunken Tatooed Yankee Fans walking in front of us. I got the obligitory: "Varitek isn't good enough to hold Jeter's cock" comment.

I simply responded with the Championship Smile. And as the Ire suggested, I gave him the ol': "Congrats, guys -- you go ahead and take all the games in April. We'll take the one's in October." This was a surprise to our pack of DTYF's. DTYF#1 turns to his friends in disbelief: "Did you hear that?? April, he says. Har har! No, but seriously, pal -- you guys don't stand a chance without Pedro. You know that, right?" To whit, I asked him how that could be true if, in the past, the Yankees have "owned" Pedro, like his kind often claimed.
Bewilderment was on his face. But, he insisted that the Red Sox would not make the playoffs this year -- and that Wells would only win five games. He guaranteed it. And so, reluctantly, I gave him the ol': "You guys know that we always like to let you win the first three games, and then we win the rest, right?"
This sobered him up a tad. It was if I had given him a buzzkill. And then, a pleasant surprise from him. "Ahhhh... you know I'm not one of those Assholes, right? I'm just havin' some fun. It was a damn good game, and it'll probably be us at the end with some more damn good games, y'know? And... to tell the truth... I was kinda happy for you guys when you won it all." I thanked him, we shook hands, and moved out separate ways home.
In truth, I also felt a twang of happy for the young Yankee fan behind us. No more than 4ish years old, he was cheering the players by name. I realized he had never seen them win. When Tek hit the homerun in the 9th, he almost cried. I told him it wasn't over, and by golly, it wasn't. I gave him a high five on the way out, and his dad seemed pleased.

And I thought to myself, "Poor kid. I wonder if his team will ever win a championship in this millenium?"
Ahhhhhhhhhhh April. Now I understand.

I'm deleting the entire site.

Yeah, after today you won't have me to kick around anymore, you damn hipsters. So take a long look around, because this is the last you'll be seeing of this place! I'm definitely not going to put up a gallery of Matty's birthday from last week, hell no.

That would be WACK.
Just like baseball. Can't stand that game. And with both baseball returning this weekend and Sin City opening, this weekend is gonna be soooooooooooo boring. I bet it's totally crappy just like the new Ben Folds album I listened to today, or that new Beck album. Talk about absolute shite.

Fools.
