By Kluv (1.16.04) Legend has it, that when I started this little site over four years ago, I knew nothing of web-site-ing nor inter-net design-ing. It is quite possible that these legends are true. In fact, the actual origins of this site are due thanks to a splurge of a purchase I made those many years ago: a digital camera. Now, back then the digi-cams were just starting, but seeings how I had just gotten my first post-collegiate job making little-to-no money, I figured it to be a good idear to rack up some debt and buy a gadget to take some pictures. And so, take pictures I did. And of course, since they were digital -- I was able to share them with others across the information "SUPERHIGHWAY!" But how to share these pictures easier? How to maximize the access to them that so many of my friends desired?? Lo, Ithacamafia.com was born. Sure, it took many trial and errors, two free geocities sites, and the supreme hostage of aDAm -- but finally after a while, we actually had a semi-respectable (looking) website. And so, others have come, wasted days upon months on the messageboard, and hundreds more pictures have been shared. You can view our humble beginnings thru the Archives, and if you are wiley enough, you can find the since-buried failed sections of the site (everything from rock to reviews to writings to links -- I like to think of them just like the old subway stations that are no longer used and sealed up from the rest of the world here in NYC...) -- but there should be plenty for you to check out otherwise. And so now, here we are many moons later -- and the site is still here, and though it may wax and wane liketh said moon -- it is still here. And hopefully, through the useage and support of the rest of the Ithaca Mafia (as we have become to be known), we will be here for many moons to come. Cheers.
